Famous Georgian mathematician, researcher, teacher and a manager, chief of the scientific board and the department of Informatics at Muskhelishvili Institute of Computational Mathematics of the Georgian Technical University (MICM), Professor Hamlet Meladze was awarded the ICPC Joseph S. DeBlasi Outstanding Contribution Award. The ceremony was held on November 1, 2021, at the MICM.

This prestigious Award was founded by ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) in 1947, New-York (USA), and is awarded each year to the ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest) volunteer who has played an instrumental role in the success of the ICPC for a period of not less than five years.  The award winner is selected by a committee of senior ICPC volunteers.
