Muskelishvili Institute of computational mathematics\u00a0was founded in 1956 as a Computing Center of the Georgian Academy of Sciences. In 1977, due to the decree of the government, it was given the name of the famous Georgian mathematician, Niko Muskhelishvili, who was actually the initiator of launching of the first computer cluster in the country. Later, in 1983, due to the successful implementation of the government tasks regarding the development of various methods of computational mathematics, wide application of the electronic-computing technique and for bringing up the relevant qualified scientists and engineers of the first generation, the institute was reestablished as the research institute. In 2010, it merged to the Georgian Technical University as an independent research institute.<\/p>\n
Nowadays there are 4 research departments in the Institute:<\/p>\n
Along the period of existence research has been focused on various fields of science, such as:<\/p>\n
Information Technologies, Computational Methods, Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics, Game Theory, Operations Research, Numerical Methods, Optimization Theory, Approximation Theory, Coding Theory, Mathematical Physics, Functional Analysis, Quantum Mechanics etc.<\/p>\n
Modeling the various economy and management problems, there were elaborated software packages for Approximate solution of problems on the plain of elasticity theory and of certain boundary problems; Automat control system of special appointment for marine forces; Optimal development and control of energy system of the country; Optimal development of agriculture complex of the country etc.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
